Employed Technologies The J-FORMS system's engine is the robust and powerful Dell PowerEdge Server running Microsoft Windows 2000 server operating system utilizing automatic update to keep the system up to date and secure. The Internet backbone consists of two T1 access lines for redundancy and greater throughput. The Dell server is protected by a daily tape backup, UPS battery backup, an on site generator for complete power failure, three surge suppressed power supplies and RAID hardware for disk management and redundancy.
J-FORMS has been designed as an open system with several integrated standards and advanced technologies for working with electronic documents. The documents, in the XML format, are primarily created and displayed using the DOM (Document Object Model) and SAX (Simple API for XML) API methods of the XML programming language. Using XLS, the documents are transformed to selected EDI message standards and passed straight for further distribution. Documents, information on the system setting, system users, their rights as well as all other operation information, are saved by the system in an electronic form in a depository based on a relational SQL database. |
